What we do

MAECare is a registered charity that supports people aged 60 and over, mainly in Leeds 17- Moor Allerton, Alwoodley, Shadwell and North Moortown areas of Leeds. If you don’t live within the boundaries of our area, you can get in touch with one of the other neighbourhood networks.

Our aims:

Our aim is to support older people to have the best quality of life and to live independently for as long as possible
We focus on:
Loneliness and Isolation
Mental and Physical Health
Community Involvement

Our history

MAECare (Moor Allerton Elderly Care) was set up in 1995 by Churches Together in Moor Allerton and Shadwell. In 2008 we became an independent charity and company limited by guarantee.
