A weekly programme of stimulating activities for people living with dementia, to help keep the mind active

More info

This is a lively and fun group for people living with dementia and memory problems.  The group is based on a Cognitive Stimulation Therapy approach (CST) which helps to improve language, thinking and wellbeing through activities which are designed to give your brain a mental ‘workout’.  The activities take place in a small group of 6-8 people where everyone is encouraged and supported to share their opinions, interests and personality.

Themes in the programme include current affairs, word and number games, places we have lived and travelled, art discussion, faces and fashions, music and sounds, physical games and being creative.  Activities are intended to encourage conversation rather than test your memory.
