This gentle exercise class is mostly chair-based, and the tutor runs two sessions on a Monday morning and afternoon. Classes are ideal for anyone wanting to enjoy exercise in a social and fun environment.

Fun, accessible dance sessions designed for older people.

No previous dance experience is required and a qualified dance tutor from Yorkshire Dance runs the sessions. Dancing can improve mobility, prevent falls, and enhance mental wellbeing and brain function.

Complementary Therapies with therapist Ali takes place on the first Monday of the month with half hour slots from 10.30 a.m. to 4.00 p.m.. There is a £12 contribution paid in advance or on the day. The following are offered::

  • Massage – using oils to relax and soothe aching muscles
  • Reflexology – working on points on the feet to promote relaxation, balance and wellbeing.
  • Reiki – a gentle hands-on therapy to encourage emotional and physical healing.

WALKING GROUP

Monthly, last Tuesday, 10.30 a.m. – 12.30 p.m.

Meet at a local park e.g. Roundhay Park, Golden Acre Park

A shorter option is available for those who cannot manage the full walk.

The walking group will meet on the last Tuesday of the month at 10.30 a.m. in a local park.  People who don’t feel able to do the full walk can do as much as they would like, and then wait for us in the cafe.  Please speak to Beccy at MAECare for more details.
